The Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport (MJNCWS), powered by Sport SA, is one of the first national organisations of its kind, dedicated to increasing participation and opportunities for women in sport across Australia.

The Centre offers training, education and leadership pathways, intending to achieve genuine gender equity. Its name and brand honour Marjorie Jackson-Nelson. Also known as the “Lithgow Flash”, the former Australian athlete's legacy includes two Olympic gold medals, seven Commonwealth Games golds and six world records.

With an ethos that resonated strongly with the Banquet team, our approach was to build a bold, female-led brand that challenges the status quo in a male-dominated field. The core brand identity was designed to highlight and celebrate women as individuals, achievers and leaders, using confident and purposeful design choices.

We helped shape the Centre’s voice by developing the tagline “Every sport, every level, every woman,” and delivering a visual system to support its message across communications, events and digital platforms.
